As there are more and more herbalists and more and more herbal education opportunities (yay!) it’s important to recognize and support those who have been foundational in building the herbal community and in modeling what it means to be an herbalist. Blazing Star is certainly one of those foundations—both by training hundreds of herbalists, with an emphasis on community and connection—and also by bringing herbalism into the community in myriad ways.  There are many ways to practice herbalism and to be an herbalist, but at the core of herbalism is the reality of our interconnectedness, and this is the reality that Blazing Star brings into focus and reminds us of again and again.
— Emmy Howard, Clinical Herbalist + Holistic Health Educator

All profits will go directly to Tony(a) Lemos and the Blazing Forward fundraiser.

tony(a) has offered her life to helping us connect, heal, and support the healing of others.  In this time, we need these skills more than ever.  Let’s all thank tony(a) by acknowledging her legacy in our own lives, and the impact that Blazing Star has had, and will have for 20 more years!

Blazing Star Herbal School is dedicated to teaching traditional herbal medicine in a way that supports a more sustainable future for all living beings and shows respect for the integrity of nature. We offer a unique perspective on herbalism, weaving social, ecological, creative and political aspects of health and healing through the study of medicinal herbs, art, ceremony and food practices. We inspire students to find their own healing path by creating a personal relationship with the natural world.
